Have you got a strong feeling that things in your life need to change and that something is lacking? Are you longing to feel fulfilled and to lead a meaningful life without anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem?
When you struggle to fix problems in your life it is tempting to reach for coping strategies that help you feel better quickly. From an evolutionary perspective, we are programmed for instant gratification when times are dire. No wonder you reach for comfort foods, have that extra glass of wine, smoke more than usual, or spend way too much time on social media to distract yourself from racing thoughts in your mind.
Negative thinking can be relentless and circular
Feeling out of control and rudderless can have a huge impact on your personal relationships as well as your performance at work. When your confidence dwindles it is easy to compare yourself to others and end up not feeling good enough. Negative thinking can become circular and obsessive and your health may deteriorate as a consequence.
Doing the same thing will lead you to the same outcome
Asking for help takes bravery. It means stepping out of your comfort zone yet it can be one of the most liberating things you’ve ever done. By taking that first big step of calling a professional you are already on your way to a new future. Doing something different will direct you to a new outcome.
When you come to see me, we will focus on your preferred future, who you want to be, and the outcome you really want, without dwelling excessively on your past. This helps you to set goals and to move towards a happier and healthier way of life. A life that is ideally suited to YOU. We work on strategies individual for you to change underlying core beliefs that you may have been telling yourself for many years. By reprogramming and releasing unhelpful thought patterns you can be free to be the person you really want to be.
I am passionate about helping people living full and happy lives. We all have the ability to fulfill our potential yet anxiety and stress can be so overwhelming and detrimental that we lose perspective. Life becomes black and white although we know that it is always various shades of grey.
I’m a clinical hypnotherapist & psychotherapist
What you need to know is that I am a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist (CPHT) practicing online via Zoom and in a clinic in South West London. In addition, I hold a diploma in Medical Hypnotherapy from CHS which makes me qualified to work with those suffering chronic illness and pain as well as challenging health conditions.
My methodologies are a combination of the latest neuroscience, CBT, NLP, Solution Focused BRIEF Therapy and hypnosis, meaning I can use a variety of techniques to make sure you get the support you need.
Hypnosis itself is a calm and wonderful state of focused attention, very similar to daydreaming, where we can access the part of your brain which is receptive to changing negative thinking habits and behaviour whilst finding solutions. This helps you create brand new and more positive ways of thinking.
Hypnotherapy is one of the most effective ways of reprogramming subconscious blocks that stop us from living happy, fulfilling and carefree lives”Birgitta Ronn
The nitty gritty
I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS certificate which means I can work with adults and young people alike. I am a member of the following regulatory bodies; CNHC (Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council, NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy), AfSFH) (Association for solution-focused hypnotherapy), and NCP (National Council of Psychotherapists). I am obliged to abide by their strict guidelines and code of conduct for therapists* and it is my duty to help you feel better in as few sessions as possible.
It is important that you understand that to achieve change you have to be willing to engage in the therapeutic process. The sessions are collaborative endeavors and should be treated as such. For this reason I cannot guarantee results.
*The NHS strongly recommends that you only seek a professional therapist who belong to one or more of these accrediting bodies.
